Querido Presidente Pace,
GENESIS IS GETTING BAPTIZED! She is the 17 year old ecuadorian girl and she is amazing! we are meeting with her today and talking to her about the signature/permission she needs.- she has had a really hard past with her parents, they basically have never even been around and she just met her mother for the first time when she came to madrid a year a ago and well, now she is not living with her and hasnt had contact with her for the past 8 months.. so we need permission with the people she is staying with and we had to talk to our mission president and everything because this is a special case but oh my!! I am so happy for her. she is super prepared and i know this is what she needs in her life. I have only known her for this past week but wow, the change in her has been incredible. She is happy now. I love how this gospel just naturally does that to people, we are happy people because we know God loves us. People really dont know how big of a difference this gospel makes in their lives until they try it.
Working in barc is completely different than anywhere else ive been, (lleida and las arenas), its like a whole different world. i really feel sometimes like in a different mission. like as if each area was its own mission and now this is my third mission i´ve been on. ha. but its been great. I love that the church is in our area and we really take advantage of it. Hermana Nalbandyan , is different than the other comps i have had but she is still great! She is a hard working missionary and we are very much on the same page when teaching . I know we are both guided by the spirit and working together with the spirit like that really unifies a companionship.
I love that my comp and I both love aiming high. I feel like everything i have ever done in lleida and las arenas gets major results here. I wouldnt say im working any different than i have before , still the same always working, listening to the spirit and talking to people. . but here, oh boy, here it really sprouts huge results! so I told hermana Nalbandyan that the way things work here that I know we can get 40 member presents in one week... she agreed. and call us crazy but we are going to work for that 40 this week. maybe we are nuts but when we said that number we both felt it.. its completely possible and we are going to do it. ha we are already feeling the tiredness in our bodies by the end of next week but its a goal we have and we have a great desire to reach it and i know the lord will help us.
Oh how i love the spirit! the spirit is everything! if i didnt have the spirit i would probably go home because there is no way you can do this work, love it, and desire to do it everyday for the rest of your life, if you did not have the spirit. the spirit edifies both the person recieving it and giving it and everyone in the room who fills it. How wonderful is that!?
well I am doing well here in Barc, its different but im ready for these new experiences.
This past week, the best part was spending time with Yitali, a little 5 year old girl who has leukemia... (idk why im running into this on my mission) but her story is incredible. i will tell more next time... she deserves more than just 2 minutes in my email. so nexts week will be with more details and pictures.. or ask me about her when i get home :) I will always remember her.
love you all so much and so glad you are all well and happy! we are happy because of the gospel. so remember to smile to let everyone see how big of a blessing it is to have the gospel in our lives! love you all mucho mucho!
xoxoxo
